Taking my father to Harold's Museum stirred yet more stories from my fathers memory banks of his experiences as a WWII Spitfire pilot. It is a wonderful collection. We enjoyed an opportunity for my father to be in the company of his grandchildren in such an impactful enviornment. You have a fine museum! Thank you for publically exhibiting your collection.

I visited the private museum while in Campbellford to see my sister-in-law. I'd have to say, WOW for a private collection, Harold.. My hat's off to ya, you do a wonderful job. My daughter enjoyed the ride in the sidecar. I enjoyed your helmet display.

I Knew very little about military history until I went to the Campbellford Military Museum. Harold, the owner, went to great lengths for my friends and I introducing us to the realities that many Canadians lived, so that we could remain a free country. We learned so much more than we ever could have in high school. I can't wait to go back. What the museum lacks in flash and glamour, it makes up in real life stories and artifacts that you can touch.

Better than World Class. So-called World Class museums do not offer the personal attention of the founder that is experienced in a visit with Harold Carlaw. To visit with and know this honourable and gifted man is a privilege. His interests and his collections are inspiring.

Great place to visit and Mr. Carlaw is more than welcoming and would explain his exhibits. Hugh Douglas

It's been at least a year since my last visit, but the kid in me still wants to return again and again. It's the kind of collection of stuff that kids only could dream about. The motor cycle was nothing I dreamt, it was something I had expierenced, and often with geat pain, maybe some of you know what I am talking about? With all the technology and wizardry availble today we creat illusion's, these collected items are the real thing. The makings of sinew, fire, and real hope and imagination. All made into quite often a machine of War to obtain Peace, paid with the very soul of those who mastered there magic. Thanks for doing what we wish we could do.

I recently moved to Campbellford and I am a journalist. I did a story about Harold Carlaw and his museum. He was so accommodating and friendly and his museum is so unique. I recommend anyone who has an interest in war surplus to vist. I am not a war surplus buff by any means but I found my interest magnified by a hundred fold after getting to know Harold and his museum. Like another reviewer wrote: it is not an experience you will likely ever forget. Go.

Campbellford's Memorial Military Museum is one of a kind. It has great artifacts but its best asset is its owner Harold Carlaw. He is a walking encyclopedia on the museum and will be glad to give you a unique experience your not likely ever to forget.
