Bill \"Lizard\" Ferguson BONAIRE, GA | Fuel capacity was 242 gallons on the UH-1C 03/27/2015 @ 05:00 [ref: 68999] |
Thom Iannarino Mt. Pleasaant, SC | The Fuel capacity of the UH-1C was 242 galons. 08/11/2014 @ 14:09 [ref: 68601] |
David West Cape Coral, FL | I have to agree with Ernie Davis about the C. The biggest visual difference (except the rotor), was the size and aerodynamaic curve in the vertical stabilizer. I had the privilege of flying a "B 540" test bed during my tour in 1966-67 with C Trp 1/9 Cav. We flew the B/540 for about 5 months until the new C's came into country.
And in answer to the question about differences in the D & H is that there is no readily visual difference, its like a street car (The differenc is under the hood).
To tell the truth I had over a 1000 hrs in the "C" and don't remember the total gallonage. I only remembered the lbs of fuel and flight time. Since we were always over gross we never took on a full load of fuel. 09/28/2010 @ 19:23 [ref: 30798] |
Will Fresno, CA | Does anyone know the fuel capacity of a UH-1C? Thanks in advance.

Rob , NY | Are there any visible difference's between the UH-1D and 1H models? Or is it all internal in the horspower and such? 07/21/2007 @ 09:21 [ref: 17214] |
Russ Warriner , FL | THIS IS NOT A C MODEL! it is a B Model. Get it correct if you are going to tell people about it. I flew in B, C D and H models. 04/17/2007 @ 12:25 [ref: 16208] |
Ernie L. Greening Harrison, AR | Are you sure all of those in photos are "C" models?
the "C"s I flew had the pitot tube on top of cabin, had the fuel intake on the left and had the 540 rotor system.
