Was A T29 C/chief 1972/73, my 1st assignment out of Tech School at Sheppard. It was a great aircraft to start a career on...spent many hrs to gain Run/Taxi qualification so I could get on flying status for cross country trips. As a one/two stripper, what a thrill it was. Great memories!

I had the pleasure of nearly 10 years of flying T-29's. Two tours at James Commally AFB, and the Air Force Academy. I have probably flown most of the T-29C's, some B's and a couple of D's, but mostly the T-29C. A really great plane.

I was station at Mather AFB from 1953-1957. I did every thing from working on T-29 include refuel the airplanes. Later my job was refuel the power units that was used by maint. mechanics. So if any one serve with the 3535 flight line maint. sq from 1954 to feb. 1957 contact me at my E-Mail. Do anyone know Airman Dale Peterson. Later he took care of the coffee pot for the 1ST SGT.
