YAC-I Tail #73082 in Arctic Colors(White w/Red Tail) is at Pope AFB In North Carolina, according to information I found on the internet.
I was the crew chief on this aircraft Apr/64 - Oct/64 when we used it in Greenland to support Arctic Research on the Greenland icecap. We flew out of Thule AFB but lived at the US Army camp (Camp Tuto) on the edge of the icecap. This YAC-1 was also used by a unit at Ft Wainright,Alaska. Can't remember which one now. Too many years gone by.
Hope this info helps.
