Started with VMA-231 in 1974, then went to VMAT-203 on build-up crew in 1975. Went to VMA-513 Det A in 1975-1976. Went to Iwakuni, Japan VMA-513 1976-1977. I served in the same units again until my retirement in 1994 with VMA-231. I was a Seat Mech, worked QA and Maintenance Control in my tour. I worked on the AV8A and the AV8B, loved the aircraft and what it could do. Worked with the best bunch of guys in all of the units I was in. Hope all are alive and well.

Started with VMA 513 AV8A Harriers in 1971 MCAS Beaufort SC. A flight line "Plane Captain" and mechanic that pre-flighted the aircraft prior to flight and had a low power turn up license for the powerful rolls royce turbo fsn engine to conduct low power systems checks. Served under Major Orr and XO Scheuren. Went Wet Pac 1971=1975. Thanks for the unique life time memories and friends I'll never forget! VSTOL forever!!!!!
