I have the paramount pictures flight book for an SE-5 Serial# AS 22-296. Or NX4488 when it was used as a stunt plane in "Hells Angels" (1930) I am looking to reunite the book with its plane. If anyone has any information of who the owner is please Email me. Purpleibanez@gmail.com

The book is signed by Paul Mantz, the stunt pilot for the movie who later died in the making of 'Flight of the Phoenix'. It has other famous stunt pilot signatures also

Hi I am trying to find a 'unique' christmas gift for a friend who enthusiasts about the SE5a.
Ideally I would like a model, kit, plans or even a framed print of and SE5a. Does anyone know where I may be able to purchase one of these from as so far I have drawn a blank with usual avenues i.e model making companies etc.
Any help?
Thanks

My Grandfather flew the SE5a with 32 Sqd. 1918. I have an ALDIS sight, W/S very pistol and some fantastic photos of France and operations. Also lots of Lewis gun stuff he brought back. I would consider loaning some of these items to the museum. Will be out in PHX flying the border end of June. Let me hear from you guys.

I have purchase a set of plans from Replicraft, and they are very complete. 1/5 scalable plans.

Many of the components, brackets etc. will have to be hand made or produced from a abraisive water jet CMM machine.

There is very little technical support out there. I am considering a modern power plant.

Long term project 8 to 10 years part time

For scale drawings I found the next URL: http://home.pacbell.net/fraze/PriceList.html

Note: I have NO idea if it\'s anything good and I have NO commitment to this firm called replicraft!

By the way: I am dreaming very softly (and way over the reality horizon) what it would be like to build such an aircraft. I\'d sign up for just seeing one fly for now.

Has anyone built and flown a full scale replica of a S.E.5?
This is my goal and I am in need of technical information and drawings.
