Trying to find diagram OR photos of the Mk 8 lead computing gyroscopic gunsight for the the F4U-5 Corsair, from the front (that is, looking in, through the windscreen, as you would see it if you were looking at the plane from the front PLUS a view of the same sight from the left side. (Working on a profile, and I hate "glossing over" the details that you should be able to SEE when you look through the plexiglas.)

In case anyone's interested, I've done F4U-1D and F4U-IC versions, and I have a Royal Navy clipped-wing Fleer Air Arm version done, all from both front and left-side views. This RN FAA is painted in the sea gray and green mottle paint job you'd see on the Corsairs used to attack the Tirpitz while it was holed-up in a Norwegian fjord. You can view other warbirds on my graphics site, and on yourofficewall.com, but I need to look at a Mk 8 sight to do the F4U-5 correctly. I really need to do some good Korean War and even a Soccer War version, since I have a Honduran friend. Thanks.

Outside the F2G Super Corsair this is the ultimate version of the Corsair. At 475 mph it could outrun and outfly ANY model of P-51 (even the "H"). Too late for WWII it made its fame during Korea and served in the Naval Reserve well into the early/mid sixtys, long after the last P-51 was retired out of the ANG. The last Corsair came off the production line on Christmas Eve 1952. Not to take anything away from the P-51, it was a great plane too. The Corsair seems to lose out in the fame department to a "lesser" airplane. Specifically the F4U-4 (455 mph) and F4U-5 varients.
