(there is no "Boeing" Museum) BuNo 138899 is undergoing restoration
at the MoF facility in Everett,WA. Airplane is on loan from
NASM to MoF. It was sitting outside slowly rotting.

Is this the one that WAS on display at the BOEING AIR MUSEUM in Seattle? If so, it might be in storage there somewhere, after a few years out in the weather! Seems to me, there were two of these XF8's and one was lost in a spin test. Does it not have a nose-probe? If so, it must be in Seattle. JP
