(Trying to put something useful in here; don't plan to go to Bucharest and don't need an escort service). What's left of the Oklahoma Air Space Museum has been rolled into Science Museum Oklahoma (formerly the Omniplex), and no longer exists as a separate museum per se. A good portion of the former Oklahoma Air Space Museum has been closed off, and only a portion of what was there is currently on display. A sort of jumbled-up collection of aircraft, but at least they're stored indoors in a climate-controlled facility.

The A-6E is no longer on display. They do have the F-104G and T-33 that are listed here as being at Tinker AFB, along with numerous smaller civil aircraft and some rocker motors, etc. It's really more for the kids. tonywess@gmail.com.

The Air and Space hall is part of a larger science museum that also includes an art gallery, a photography exhibit, science exhibits, and an IMax dome theater. The collection is good (but not phenomonal) and the documentation and other exhibits are interesting. At present (2005), the aerospace hall is being renovated and updated (since it was showing its age), so the exhibits are scattered around the building amongst the other exhibits. The museum is a must-see for those in the Oklahoma City area, but the aviation exhibit alone is not worth it. The museum has a new webpage, found here: http://www.omniplex.org/index.htm

Good collection. However, web site is no longer accessible. Non-responsive to research or data requiests (very poor in the research and help area.)Overall rating Average.
