Using a Bleriot XI, the Peruvian world aviation pioneer Jorge A. Chávez was the first person to fly across the Alps on September 23, 1910, from Brigg (Switzerland) to Domodossola (Italy)

The College Park Aviation Museum in College Park, Maryland has recently added a reproduction Bleriot XI to our gallery! The type XI aeroplane was constructed in our restoration shop over the course of the past 18 months, from Rozendaal's drawings orig. published in 1912. I can send a digital image for inclusion on your site, if you'll permit. Thanks!
