My wife and I attended the open house at Eglin along with the guidance of our son, a senior airman stationed there. It was one of the most enjoyable air shows that we have ever seen. We were delighted to see the technology and some of the aircraft that our tax dollars are spent on. The Air Force personnel were so polite and informative. Thanks Eglin and a very special thanks to the MIGHTY THUNDERBIRDS. Go USAF

My wife & I really enjoyed Eglin's Open House and Airshow this year. After being away from the area for a very long time, it was great to see all the aircraft (vintage included)and experience the thrill of watching the Golden Knights Parashute Team, our own F-15s, and, of course, the Thunderbirds. The air force personnel were very informative and pleasant to talk to. Nice job! We're looking forward to the next Open House in two years. Thank you, Eglin AFB!!

 Edinburgh,

Been to a lot of International airshows around the world, so I expected a lot at the "biggest base in the world". But where were all the aeroplanes? There were long gaps between flying displays and even the anouncer was running out of things to say by the end.

I was very disapointed with the services provided at the show. They informed people they couldn't bring in coolers, but the only place to get water was at the booths selling them for $2.50 a bottle! Then if that wasn't bad enough they didn't provide an ATM for patrons to get money for these ridiculous prices. At one of the lemonade stands I asked the woman working there if I could by a cup of water for my one year old son and she lied and said they didn't have any water, but there was a water cooler right next to her. The very worst part about it was that it was Air Force squadrons taking advantage of people like this.

We are so excited the Thunderbirds are coming again!! We go EVERY time they come here to Eglin AFB. We were ready to go in Sept. but unfortunately they had to cancel due to the horrible incidents on 9/11. The Air Force does a wonderful job setting up displays and providing information, especially to the children - my kids love it!! GO THUNDERBIRDS!! - USA - USAF!

I went to the Open House at Eglin AFB several years ago and was fascinated. I have been looking forward to returning and it appears I will make it this year. I am eagerly anticipating it along with my family.
