| Laurie Knepper LaurieKnepper@cfl.rr.com Merritt Island, District of Columbia | Beautiful water, beautiful beaches, and the Blue Angels... WOW! The Angels put on an awesome show, and what better location than to hang out on the power white beaches of Pensacola Beach to watch them. The non Blue Angels portion of the show is very limited and is nothing spectacular, but the Angels pretty much make it wonderful all by themselves. Add in the spectacular location and the show is World Class. Bring a beach umbrella, lots of water, and high SPF sunblock... it gets wickedly hot and you'll burn to a crisp with the reflection off the white sand and clear water (yes, even if it's overcast). Save the alcohol until later that evening or the sun and the heat's effects can really do you in. If you don't already have reservations on the beach by now, it's probably too late, but there's lots of public parking available. Drive over early in the morning and expect bumper-to-bumper traffic both coming and going. Yes, it's worth it! 04/13/2002 @ 11:59 |
