Bob Grillo bob.grillo@elizabetharden.com Stratford, Connecticut | Having been around aviation most of my life, including four years in the U.S.A.F., I enjoy the opportunity to go to Westover ARB and walk among the aircraft and visit
with those who have been blessed with the capabilities to fly these great aircraft.
I first went to Westover when I was 14 years old and a Lt.in the Civil Air Patrol. At that time there were B-47s,KC-97s'and a rescue squadron that included a Sikorsky H-19
and a Grumman Albatross. The flight line was aircraft end to end. I should mention that was in 1955.
Little did I know at the time that I would end up in S.A.C. four years later.
I have been to airshows while in the service and I think the Great New England Air Show is up there with the best of them.
Keep-up the good work. 02/27/2002 @ 14:05 |
