Visted today for short period from 1 to 3 PM. Witnessed a very good F-16 performance. Very nice! Latter the F-16 was joined by a P-51. Formation flying was fantastic. Several passes and what a wonderful sight. Small attendence probably due to weather. Never did find a schedule. Closing the street near the airport sure seemed a waste. Good static display. Will make the drive north next week - Blue Angels are the BEST!

If the EXPO doesn't have a that great of a show there is always Offut AFBs (Nebraska) open house Aug 24, and 25. See this page for more info http://www.offuttairshow.com/. Some info from the page: The largest joint service air show and open house in the Midwest ! August 24 & 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. -- This year's air show, appropriately named "Defenders of Freedom," is a chance for the general public to see U.S. military assets up close and personal and to meet our men and women in uniform. Headlining the air show are the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels. Other performers include the Air Force Stars and Army Golden Knights parachute teams, Sean Tucker, the AeroShell Aerobatic Team and many other current and past military and civilian aircraft. The 2002 Offutt AFB "Defenders of Freedom" Air Show also provides a chance for visitors to realize potential opportunities. Young people can meet with representatives from each of the services to talk about military life and what it has to offer. They'll learn what steps it takes to become a "Defender of Freedom" and make a great contribution to our country. Admission & parking are FREE. NO coolers, backpacks or pets allowed. See directions for shuttle bus locations and schedules.

The air show web site is: www.kcairshow.org. The Blue Angels are NOT performing this year. The gates are open 9 to 5 on 8/17 & 18. When I checked, the links weren't working on the web site. Here is what is on their home page: The 2002 Airshow will honor the contributions of U.S. military forces, and feature aircraft of the Vietnam Conflict that is marking its 25th anniversary. The Army Heritage Foundation's Sky Soldiers will perform "A Tribute to Patriots", a realistic mix of aerial displays and ground activities. Other Airshow performances include the F-16 U.S. Air Force Tac Demo Team, aerobatics by Ray Vetsch and his Sky Acro Turbo Shark, and Dan Buchanan's pyrotechnic hang gliding demonstration. Buchanan, a paraplegic, will control the hang glider using only his upper body. Plus numerous other aerial performers.

The KC Expo Web page does not list when the gates are open, what the gate fees are per person or per family, times the performers do their show. Also one of the performers [Army Avn. Heritage Foundation Sky Soldiers] is not listed as performing.

Growing up in the military I miss those F1 11's flying over! Havn't been to a air show in years and I would like for my kids to experience one. Can someone give me the ticket prices for adults and children? Looking forward to hearing the fighters roar! Thanks!

The Sky Soldiers Demonstration Team (I am a member) is performing at your airshow this month and we are not listed on your group of performers. Could you possibly add our names? Thank you.

I would like to know if we brought an Angel Aircraft,if we would be restricted to static display, or would we be able to give rides. If giving rides was allowed it would be free, or a voluntary donation would be accepted.See the aircraft at (angelaircraft.com )it's immpressive. Would appreciate a reply or contact number as soon as possible. Thank You

Am I correct in reading that both the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds are going to be performing, and will they both perform on the same day?
