This year's promotion of the air show was not very good. I think they started advertising the show way too late, and what is the deal with the tora-tora tora crap, I mean I respect WWII..... but come on you mise well say jihad-jihad-jihad on next year's commercial.

Are the issues going to effect the show? I don't want to drive the distance, fight the traffic, and there be issues that effect the outcome or quality of the show.

Terry Randall of the Muskogee Davis Field Airport has in the past always presented an excellent airshow. However, this year he needs to call Marc Harris and myself to resolve some issues.

I find the television advertising for this event absolutely appalling. Using the phrase "Tora! Tora! Tora!" is incredibly absurd. This was the phrase used by Imperial Japanese Naval forces to signal the begin of their attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. What will the theme be next year, "Praise Alah! I'll fly it from here"??

This continues to be one of my favorite shows because of its size. Being a small/mid-sized show, you are really able to get up close to the planes in a more casual atmosphere. But just because it's not huge, that doesn't mean that the Muskogee show doesn't have world class military and civilian aircraft as well as top notch performers. This is a very good show.

I thought I was going to cry when the thunderbirds did not finish their routine Sept. 2002. I know the weather conditions were not the best, and that it would have been dangerous for them them to perform, but it was such a let-down for me because I waited in such anticipation for that show. It would be wonderful if you could have the thunderbirds back to Tulsa in the near future to make for that day.
