Andrew B. Richardson crystalphantom@hotmail.com Chattanooga, Tennessee | The airshow this year was good but I thought the Thunderbirds could have been better. I wish also I could have gotten close up photos of the WWII planes seeing as how noone was allowed near them. 05/30/2002 @ 19:32 |
Shannon Ringgold, Georgia | The airshow was excellent this year, but it's a shame some tactical aircraft had to cancel. I've worked the last two airshows so it was nice to be able to watch this one & relax. The Tbirds were incredible as usual as well as the Star Fighter team but what really rocked was the formation flight of the F-15, F-86, & P-51. Here's hoping that the next show will be just as memorable. 05/20/2002 @ 20:48 |
Brandon Russell Chattanooga, Tennessee | I felt that airshow 2002 was all around a great show. The class of performers and class of re-enactments were awesome. It looks like we are all in agreement that there should be more publicity than what information is given in a 30 second news spot. We want to have a schedule and easier availability to information concerning things such as handicap access. We hope that the quality of events continues to be world class, but the show needs to be better staffed so that 2,000 spectators are not standing in line for just over an hour to walk through only 5 security lines!! 05/20/2002 @ 15:14 |
Brian Hamfeldt brian@hamfeldt.net Chattanooga, Tennessee | In case you missed the long lines of security check and waiting on busses:

Craig cmmeredith@aol.com Chattanooga, Tennessee | Seems as though the promoters "dropped" the ball on this one...lack of publicity will absolutely kill the numbers if they don't get the word out next time. Chattanooga is very fortunate to host an airshow of this caliber and its another way to show what a great little (big) city we have here to offer. Keep 'em flying Birds...PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN. SALUTE, two. 05/19/2002 @ 08:45 |
Bonnie Chattanooga, Tennessee | Seems like everyone else feels the same as I do.........how come no schedule? We can't go for the whole day but would like to know who is doing what when so that we can decide when to go. Am searching the web and the only thing I have found regarding any times at all is what people have responded here. Maybe next year more publicity on the times, please? Thanks! 05/18/2002 @ 21:26 |
Ritchie ritchie_scott@hotmail.com , Georgia | I too want to bring my young child to the airshow. It would be very helpful to have a list of times when things will be happening. I was able to watch the Thunderbirds practice Friday and it was great!! I am looking forward to the airshow. 05/18/2002 @ 17:09 |
Scott Bixler Chattanooga, Tennessee | The airshow was fun the last time I went. Its no Oshkosh, but there is a diverse selection of aircraft to check out as well as some great flying events.
However, there's a distinct lack of information about this show...even at the places to buy advanced sale tickets. I STILL haven't seen a flight schedule, poster, brochure....nothing. Wanting to take a three year old, I need to know when things will be flying to avoid nap time, lunch, etc... How about a schedule poster at the ticket sale locations? 05/17/2002 @ 21:57 |
Tim Boyd , Tennessee | The air show is fabulous...a lot of energy!!! 05/17/2002 @ 14:03 |
