The 148th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, Duluth,
converted from an air defense mission to tactical
reconnaissance in October 1975, equipped with the
RF-4C. Converting back to air defense in 1984,
they flew the sleek gray F-4D. F-16s came to
Duluth in July 1990.
