Aeronca L-3F 'Grasshopper'

hartzell-mike vernonia, OR | I own an 65-CA that was a L-3F 1942-1944. My A/C was one of the 50 impressed A/C, and one of the 19, 65-CAs impressed. My plane was at Lubbock TX and Los Vegas NV in the USAAF with S/N # 43-2854. My plane is now all white and flying weekly. Eric Brown , MN | The L-3F was the military designation for the Aeronca model 65CA, which was the side by side pre-war Aeronca Chief. The going price should be the same as a 65CA would bring in its present condition, unless there is some sort of unusual historical documentation that would up the value.

I have found a L-3F near Austin Texas in a garage. Was looking for an antique to restore and found out about this one. It is a basket case but it seems to be all there. It will need most of the wood replaced, and recovering but the engine has been rebuilt. I don't have a clue as to what it might be worth, could you help.
