William H. Ruble Jr. Heath, OH | My Father Wm.H.Ruble owned 42-38231 a D17R back in 1966 and I have found were the plane is now. it is under going major restoration because of a gear up accident back in 1994 that pretty much well desroyed it. The current owner is hoping to have it back in the air in a few years it is one of the rarest staggerwings that will still be flying when finished I'm very proud to be able to say that we owned one of the prettiest airframes that could ever be designed. My hat is off to Mr.Beech. After I finish school to get my A&P I one day hope to own a staggerwing.
PS if anyone knows how to get color pictures or even black and white of 42-38231(N35E) please let me know. Thanks Howard. 07/18/2000 @ 00:54 [ref: 463] |
