Regarding the disposition of the two flying prototypes of the XA-38, they were scrapped after there was no further interest in them by the military. There is little information still in existance about these birds, but some of what exist is held by the "Kansas Aviation Museum" at McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas. They have a great arcive facility there. 05/06/2004 @ 19:36 [ref: 7377]

Looking to add this aircraft to my photo collection at www.Photo4Phood.com...does anybody have info on the final destination of the two original airframes? 06/20/2003 @ 10:59 [ref: 6513]

The interesting thing about the XA-38 was that it incorporated an automatic 75mm cannon. This was an improvment versus the prior manual loading 75mm cannons on the B-25G and B-25H. 07/16/2001 @ 02:33 [ref: 2682]
