geoff estes Dayton, OH | I was the last acquisiton program manager for the C-22A. We purchased these aircraft as turn-ins to Boeing from previous lease agreements with civilian airlines. Because of the time consuming Gov't acquisiton process, the aircraft we ended up purchasing were "picked-over" and the ones we ended up with came from areas where they were subject to contact with coastal areas and had significant corosion. We hired E-systems in Texas to repair all of corrosion and structural problems, modify them for Air Force use and then we delivered them to the guard. 04/30/2008 @ 08:53 [ref: 20757] |
Steve Seats Houston, TX | I was in Panama also from 1984 to 1987 flying the C22A. Hello Scott. 04/08/2008 @ 18:28 [ref: 20392] |
Scott Hubbartt , TX | I served as the chief flight mechanic on the sole US Air Force C-22A from 1986 to 1990 at Howard AFB Panama. What a great job! Years later I was saddened to see SPAR-84 in the Davis-Monthan boneyard.
