Hello, my grandfather was in the USAF during 1954-57 at which time he serviced aboard B-29s flying out of Ohio, in the ARDC unit. It's a research flight that flew off the coast of Brazil tracking Missiles sent out of FL. They would fly orbit for hours waiting for the missiles to fly over, but mostly they failed to lift off or didn't make it that far south it seems. I'm looking for information on this Unit, name, what their B-29s would have looked like? Any pictures you might know about? Have any ideas?
