I was with the 56th from 1969 to 1971 as a 135 mechanic. Red Madden and myself left the Fussa Fighters Squadron in April 71 and did our year of R&R in Vietnam. My only claim to fame is being able to do a one man main gear tire change, Jimmy Newell can validate the claim. My last acft 671.

I served with the 56th WRS April 69 thru April 71 working on the 135. Under Msgt Warren Adams for the first year and change. For the first part of that most of my time was spent in the office updating training records or working in India One on the day shift.

At the end I worked with Jack Allen & John Hackworth on 669.

I have just been reconnected with Randy Sims, Bob Molner and Gary Mitchell and would love to hear from them or anyone else that was there around that time.

Just started searching info about my time spent in Yokota Japan.(67 to 68).Worked on the flightline with the B57F aircraft, tail number 301 abd 302. Saw the note from Vince Platt from Chicago. I'm trying to get his email address so I can contact him. Also Bob Kyes from Peria Illinois.

I worked on the same series WC-135 aircraft that Jeff McMaster worked on (Tail #: 667,670,665,666,671,672,673 and 674) while stationed at Eielson AFB, Fairbanks, Alaska as part of the Det 5, 9th Weather detachment from 1969 to 1971. My AFSC was 32550, Automatic Flight Control System Specl and Electronic Compass systems. I also worked on the WB-57F, 58th WRS, that worked along side the WC-135 sampling the air at higher Altitudes. I enjoyed working on the above aircraft and being associated with the missions they performed.
