I was fortunate to be a CH-46E hydraulic mechanic back in the mid 80's stationed at both Tustin and El Toro Ca. This helicopter was an amazing piece of machinery. I put a personal stamp on the maintenance of this fine helo. I was active duty in a reserve squadron and would volunteer for anything that would allow me to fly on them. Me and a couple of my buddies got to take a fun run from El Toro Ca. to New Orleans on that helicopter. It will really be sad to see the last 46 fly! HMM-764!

I have seen these 46's in movies on Vietnam and seen them fly and have been fasinated with them since I was a kid. My fiance was a crew chief during the 80's. Just wanted to say I am proud of our Marines and sad to see the Phrogs go.

God Bless!
