Russell Beacht Alamogordo, NM | I was with the 604thSOS from Jul 68 to Jul 69. I flew 306 combat missions. We had the best maintainance and support. We often flew in the most adverse conditions to support the ground troops. The A-37 was a stable and accurate munitions delivery platforms. We had a great mix of seasoned pilots and young bucks. We did our job well and it was an honor to serve with such great patriots. 05/20/2010 @ 16:39 [ref: 26195] |

Thomas Simmons Vaqncleave, MS | Was assigned to the 604th ACS from Aug. 68 thru July. 69 as a weapons mech. If anyone can remember me, they would remember me as the squadron drunk. Been sober for quite some time now and would enjoy hearing from some of the guys from then. A-37 was one of the easiest aircraft to load and was heck of a plane. We did major damage. 12/08/2008 @ 15:01 [ref: 23206] |
