adam Mcminnville, OR | There is a bobcat stashed away in a hanger at Montgomery Field in San Diego Cal The aircraft is complete and I would
guess it could be ferried. I believe it belongs to an old tech school no longer in operation. There is also a lockheed t-33 in ther same condition. 07/25/2008 @ 21:11 [ref: 22262] |
Barry Ervin Norrristown, PA | I got my first airplane ride in one of these things when I was about 13, at the Old Star Airport in Langhorne, PA. I remember it was always parked behind the hangar and when it was started it always looked like the hangar was on fire from all the smoke. That was a real thrill, especially considering that the immortal Sky King flew a Bobcat before he traded it for that wussy new-fangled Cessna 310. 01/16/2008 @ 17:39 [ref: 19327] |

John D. Voss , CA | The USN procured 67 JRC's which were equivalant to the USAAF UC-78. These Bobcats were used primarily as light tranports for carrying ferry pilots to and from their home bases upon completion of delivery flights.
