Also the C-55 has full length fairings over the 'crease' from the double bubble fuselage construction. The fairings were left out from all C-20WB/C-46s. Anyone have any information on when the fairings were eliminated in the 26 CW-20A spec models? 04/07/2008 @ 15:40 [ref: 20380]

The C-55 Commando was the prototype for the C-46. It differed from the C-46 in that it was powered by 1700 hp Wright R-2600's. Production C-46's were powered by 2000 hp P&W R-2800's. Only one C-55 was produced. 03/18/2006 @ 13:49 [ref: 12843]
