1) the A8846 listed as a serial# is actually the military designation# for the RC-1 Kingbird.
2) If anyone has any photos of this aircraft I would be most interested. A surplus RC-1 was used in the Juneau, Alaska area in the early 1950s until it was wrecked. The only civilian photo I have found is the one below which comes from the Feb 22nd, 2005 Capital City Weekly who acquired it (I presume) from the Alaska State Museum. 02/25/2005 @ 06:05 [ref: 9527] |
