Neil Harris , TX | This a rendition of an XP23 that a friend and myself built in the early to mid 1980's. It used a mechanically fuel injected 400cu in. 620hp motor turning a Hartzel variable pitch 3 blade through a 1.9:1 reduction drive. Fully aerobatic systems, upper wing center wing flap for angle-of-attack trim. Two place seating. Stall 68-73mph, Vne 210mph.
It flew for 10 years before distruction in a in-flight crash film production for the EAA. Pilot deceased. 04/12/2006 @ 12:11 [ref: 13135] |
