JJ Kenmore, NY | I am making a three dimensional reconstruction (using autocad)of the XP-31 in my computer so that I will be able to add a full color technical illustration of that aircraft to add to my collection of unsuccessful Western New York aircraft portraits. 05/28/2006 @ 21:32 [ref: 13398] |
Gareth Wood Manchester, MD | The Curtiss P-31 Swift was an interesting inter-war design that offers an interesting insight into the mix progressive of regressive design features that were common in US aircraft of the time. Certainly Curtiss should have incoroporated newer features such as retracting landing gear and stronger wings, but was otherwise a sound design that was unlucky not to enter production.
