RE:plane crash in water.

On a tour in vn i believe in 1965 0r 67 a vaw-13 ad5q went from a carrier back to the PI and got lost due to bad radar fix. Went down near a island south of cubi about 500 miles.Crew survived but lost all their gear in hell hole cmpartment.Aircraft sits in about 200 ft. of water I heard.Anyone remember that flight or the crew.Went down near dark and used the tailhook to judge height above water.

Looking for any info on a Skyraider going down on Windward side of GTMO, tail section currently sits in 89 feet of water and midnight blue paint can be seen with NAVY in white under some growth. Any info that would lead to the ID of the wreck, model, bu number, pilot info etc would be greatly appreciated or enough to go to the Navy Historical Command to narrow the search.

After basic at Great lakes, I was sent to Memphis for AMH schooling from 11/60 to 5/64/ From ther ,I went to VAW-11 at North Island. I initially was a PC on AD's and was detached to the Lex for a 6 month cruise from about 11/61 to 5/65/. next cruise was from about 3/63 to 11/63 as a AMH2, working on WF-2's. I spent most of my time on the flight deck and ,I hate to tell ya, i loved every minute of it.

I am looking for maintenance manuals and full scale blue-prints for the " skyraider. " specifically close air support variants as there is once again a NEED. Any help in directing my fire would be appreciated.

Thank you,

I was in VAW-11 from 12/60 to 6/61. VAW-13 was transferred to Alameda from Guam in 6/61 and VAW sent their AD5Q's up to 13 and kept the 5W's (guppies) Made many Det. to the Far East including one that we were secretly taken to San Francisco's Post Office on a Saturday where we obtained picutres and passports for trips to VN. Skelton's Screwy Scamblers (DET LIMA) was a great outfit. There is no record on anyone's DD214 of this. Fact is most of my orders state
VERBAL ORDERS and the rest is blank. DD 214 shows only SEA DUTY and nothing else. Nothing about the PI (cubi pt.)
Japan (NAS Atsugi)or Veitnam. Nothing about the 12 different Carriers we were on during my time 1961 to 9/64.
We had the AD5Q's (Queens) and two or three TF-1's assigned to VAW-13
