Bill Dempster Frankfurt Hessen, OTH | I have just returned from a fortnight in Alaska - Fairbanks and can report that the DC6A/B population of Northern Air cargo,Everts and Air Cargo Express is still active altho it is saddening to see an ever increasing number of 'hulks'of 6s being put out to grass on the airfield, having had their engines removed. I have been coming here for 6 years on pilgrimage to this Mecca of the North principally to see the last DC-7C and C54/DC-4s of Brooks fuel and the 6 fleets of Northern/Everts . Ex Frontier Airlines DC-3 is still on the ramp I assume waiting sale following the demise of its more recent owner - killed in a crash.
Any questions - send me a line and I will try to answer them .
