I saw the postings asking for more pictures of the FAIREY AEW-3. I took a good picture of one just a few days ago, located at the Pima Air Space Museum, in Tucson, Arizona.

You can view the photo here, if you are interested:

I know of no available kits of the Gannet AEW 3 as was at the museum.
There is an excellent kit at 1/48th scale of the more numerous ASW Gannet. This you can get at Classic Airframes po box 577580 Chicago IL 60657-7580. The price is $52.99
the kit is made in the Czech Republic.

There are a few plastic kits available of this aircraft. The old company Frog has a Ganett kit in 1/72. It is out of production but you can occasionally find them on ebay.

I have a Grandson who at 12 years of age has begun
a serious interest in aircraft. At this time military ,
he is most interested in the "Fairey Gannet AEW-3"
carrier born airplane. Can you possibly advise of a
"Kit version of this aircraft"?
He has so far built kit models of the BBMF trio,a P40
Tomahawk, B-25Mitchell, Corsair. All excellent, the
the last, being the BBMF, is 1st.class.
If you can help I will be most grateful.
Sincerely, Mike Summers.

Do you know of any other examples of this aircraft still
flying, or well preserved in a static mode, available to
examine. Most partcularly in Canada, the United States,
or the U.K ?
I will be most grateful for any info', thanks Mike.
