Gary Lancaster, CA | Good to see the two seater painted up and on display. I'm not sure it ever looked this good before! Thanks to those who posted the picture on the site. It was good to see the photo's with the Owl on the nose (NAW/E). While working for Fairchild I am the one who put that on there as a piece of nose art. I thought I might get fired for doing it but later one of our pilots asked that we spray clear lacquer over it so it would stay on there. 09/04/2008 @ 20:40 [ref: 22613] |
Cary , CA | The YA-10B is now freshly painted and parked out front at the museum next to the F-4, looks really nice, seem as if all the plane on display around base are getting repainted. 06/29/2007 @ 06:46 [ref: 16978] |

E Rideout , NF | Why wasn't the ya-10b variant put into production. It appears to be an improvement in the base A-10.( Which is my all time favorite aircraft) Maybe I have a thing for ugly? 10/15/2006 @ 08:46 [ref: 14463] |
Chris Edwards AFB, CA | Was on my way from the Raptor CTF to 31TES Orderly Room, going SSW on Wolfe Ave, when I looked out over the lakebed and noticed that THE YA-10B is sitting on on the the lakebed access taxiways with an F-4 (think it's 0713). 07/27/2005 @ 15:50 [ref: 10858] |
Chris Edwards AFB, CA | Was on my way home from Chapel yesterday and noticed that it looks like they are going to place an aircraft out in front of the FAA building along Rosamond Blvd, here on base. Pad placement looks about right for an A-10. Wish them luck fitting it between the power poles. 07/25/2005 @ 12:42 [ref: 10835] |
Chris Edwards, CA | Keven, I'll race you for that picture!!! 07/13/2005 @ 15:43 [ref: 10741] |
Keven Baird , CA | She's got a brand new coat of paint waiting for her spot on static display at the museum site I believe. Now she sits next to the tower on the flight line. I'll try to post a picture. 06/16/2005 @ 12:41 [ref: 10506] |
Ron D Moore, OK | Looks as if the old two seater is still being pushed off in a corner. While I was stationed there (Edwards)in ('88-'96) around '89, while towing it for an airshow, some young "hanger pilot" pulled the lever to open the air refuel door on the nose. All the old A-10 crew chiefs that were present verbally kicked his dumbass, I see that it is still open, Ron 03/06/2005 @ 16:06 [ref: 9632] |
