I was at the open house of Fullerton on Saturday, Sept. 25th, 2004 and wanted so badly to take a picture of the "tin goose" based at the airport, but they were working on it so I had to take a couple through the fence, as it was in the North corner where Dale and Commonwealth streets come together. I did manage to get some but the sun was not in my favor, but alas, later on that day I heard on the news a plane went down on the streets of Fullerton, and the clip shown on TV told me right then that it WAS the Ford Trimotor that has been there for some time. I live about a half mile from the Airport and always could tell by the sound that the plane was in the air. Terrible that I will not see it around again. Just hope the two guys testing out the repairs on it are alright. Bob
