The photo of 131 is not a JF-3. It is a Columbia-built J2F-6 from the naval reserve at NAS Oakland that I photographed in March 1947. I will find a photo of a JF-3 to post.

Provisions could be made on the JF/ J2F Duck or up to 2 .30 Cal. machine guns and 2 325 lb depth charges. It was the ONLY biplane manufactured (in the USA) duringn WWII. Because Grumman was busy making fighters, Columbia was contracted to produce the Ducks.
