| Old Stoofer , CA | The stoof was a great forgiving aircraft. Built by the Grumman ironworks, it took and handled a lot of abuse.
It had one weakness as far as I am concerned...it's gas gauges. They could, and did, show a quarter of a tank of avfuel left when, in fact, the tank was nearly dry. I am a former VS23 Black Cat who is looking for a stoof image that clearly shows the Black Cat logo on the tail of an S2F. If anyone has such an image, please email it to me.
