JJR Pichincha/Quito, OTH | Yes, its obsolete, however the peruvian air force was kicked by this old jet in 1995. Two ecuadorian jets (F1 mirage and kfir) killed two SU22 an one A37B. 09/17/2005 @ 01:50 [ref: 11254] |
SAR Crew , VA | One of the Kfirs from ATAC in Newport News, Va just went off the end of Rwy 07 at Newport News/ Williamsburg Int'l earier tonight and folded the nosegear up under itself. Details at 11... 02/08/2005 @ 22:33 [ref: 9401] |
Mike \"Scrappy\" Macdonald , CA | Israel Aircraft F-21 is a nice antique, I can't believe it's still being used as trainer. Nothing compares to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter now that's a plane! yeehaw.. 09/01/2004 @ 13:51 [ref: 8197] |
Race Bannon , NV | ATAC (a Newport News VA company) has 5 of them, and I fly currently fly it. Fast, but bleeds like a raped ape trying to fight it. 07/29/2004 @ 18:32 [ref: 7935] |

Tony S , WA | THE F-21A IS ONE OF THE BEST COMBAT SIMULATERS AIR-TO-AIR,GROUNDATTACK[CAS].THE U.S. MARINE CORPS AND THE U.S. NAVY SHOULD OF KEP'T IT FOR AIR-TO-AIR [DOGFIGHTING]ROLE],CLOSE AIR SUPPORT[CAS],BOMBER ROLE ,ATTACK ROLE,.AND NATO KICK ASS IN AFGANISTAN AND TO TRY TO FIND SADDAM HUSSEIN THAT MOTHER F***ERAND OSAMA ASS LADEN. 07/22/2002 @ 12:30 [ref: 5354] |
Joe Copalman Phoenix, AZ | The F-21/Kfir was used by the Navy and Marine Corps in the mid-to-late 1980s. They were on loan from Israel for a few years and subsequently returned. As I understand it, they simulated the MiG-21 and MiG-23/27 series, which the Kfir had closer performance matches with. Today, the F-14 and F/A-18 are used to simulate MiG-29s and Su-27s in the adversary role, while the F-5 is used to simulate lower-performance threats like the MiG-21. Also, obsolete is a relative term. The Kfir is frontline in many South American countries. 01/13/2002 @ 16:00 [ref: 4078] |
TONY STUBBLEFIELD SNOHOMISH, WA | THE MARINE HAD THE F-21A TOO . AND VF-43 WAST'ST THE ONLY OPERATOR OF IT VMFT-401 ALSO HAD IT AT MCAS YUMA ,ARIZONA 09/29/2001 @ 15:12 [ref: 3286] |
Tony B. , MI | The F-21 is one of the worst combat simulaters for the Sukhoi Su-27 "Flanker" and the MiG-29 "Fulcrum". An F-15C Eagle has a performance simaler to them than the F-21. Why not use those? 07/28/2001 @ 18:32 [ref: 2779] |
J Stew , NH | This was during the cold war, that they used this aircraft for DACT. When it was not so easy to just go out and buy a Mig-29. 07/26/2001 @ 15:10 [ref: 2766] |
