Only one example of the XR2O-1 was procured by the USN (BuNo. 0267). It was acquired for the sole purpose of providing a high speed personal deluxe transport for the Secretary of Navy. It was equivalent to the civil 10A Electra and was powered by P&W R-985 engines.
