SSGT Ret USAF Bradenton, FL | I was the DCC on 86-0185 at Eglin AFLT 40th FTS from Oct 1993 to Mar 1995 and she is definitely not a D tub converted to a Strike Eagle 185 was a Strike Eagle from the ground up big difference 07/13/2012 @ 13:03 [ref: 63241] |
Brian Warner Robins, GA | The F-15 on the pedistal at Seymour Johnson is not a real E-model, it is a B-model made to look like an E-model. The tail number starts with 77. I was there when they put it up being assigned to the 334th Fighting Eagles on aircraft 89-0499 and then going to the 333rd Lancers when that squadron first began in the summer of 1994 with aircraft 87-0184 as the first jet to taxi into the Lancers. That aircarft was later assigned to the 334th and I received 87-0190. 04/05/2012 @ 03:14 [ref: 54951] |
