Did you Know that the book "Four Down on Old Peachtree Road" by Ben Cole talks about the crash of 4 F-84Ds in Northern Georgia? If you haven't read it you need to. They were flying in formation and misread their altimiters, thinking they were 10,000 ft. higher then they really were. Unfortunately, all 4 pilots perished. THeir names were:
Captain Idon M. Hodge Jr.
1st Lieutenant Samuel P. Dixon Jr.
1st Lieutenant Elwood C. Kent
2nd Lieutenant William A. Tennent
