My first flight ever, when I was 15 years old was in a L-17 back in my home country Cuba; now I am 58 and after many many, many sadness, among then being jailed 6 years for opposition to the comunist regimen, I still dream about this airplane, and doing research geared to purchase one of this for my own pleasure.
Tell me any thing you want to share, said, the landing gear problems, it's that solved for good?. Thanks. Rene.

I've have the pleasure of owning one of these birds... Solid, it feels just like sitting in your living room when inside it.... Fairly quick, mine has a lycoming O-435 geared to 260hp. The RPM's at cruise run around 3500. Now thats fast! I know most everything about these stout birds, if you wanna know anything email me at ryanc1911@mac.com.
