Hal Cope Scottsdale, AZ | I believe the STA was powered by a Menasco enging not a Mebasco engine as indicated in your spec sheet. I watch the famous Tex Rankin fly his STA inverted at less than six feet above the runway at Turlare Calif picking up flags with his wing tips. Also a friend of my Jim Dewey rebuilt a STA at Santa Paula Airport California. He also married my secretary Dorthy Dean.

Kevin Walsh Sunnyvale, CA | I too am presently building a Radio Controlled model of the Ryan YPT-16. The color scheme of your Ryan YPT-16 is nearly the exact same scheme of my own aircraft. I have the pictures presently on this web site along with many other photos from other web pages on the internet. However, I would appreciate any photos, preferably in color, and supporting documentation that may be available.
My Radio Controlled model has a 82” wingspan with which I am planning to make a detailed and documented replica of an existing, or no longer existing aircraft. My mailing address is below if in the event you are able to send me that which I have requested.
Thank you for your time and help.

Marcel Gauthier Wichita, KS | I am presently builting a Radio Control one fifth scale model of the Ryan STA. The color scheme of your Ryan YPT-16 STA is of particular interest to me. I would like to use the exact same paint scheme for my model and acquire your permission, if needed? I have the pictures presently on the Internet. But I would appreciate any photos (color) and supporting documentation that may be available.
The model has a 72” wingspan and I want to maintain the uniqueness and detail of this airplane. My mailing address is below and my email address above. Thank you in advance.
