Matt , CA | Your Father was a "hell-of-a man." What about you? What happened? Easy to talk about when you never have been "there." 02/13/2009 @ 15:20 [ref: 23715] |
Steven Grace SANTA ROSA, CA | The OS2U was also used as an ASW plane. My father was nearly killed in an os2u fighting against a German U-boat alone. Just the pilot and him as the gunner tangled up agaisnt AA's that could knock down B-24's. Pilot was killed. Father was wounded in both arms, injured both legs, and a bad concussion.
Went back up again. They made them tough back then.
