While stationed at the Naval Weapons Systems Test Center [WST}, Patuxent River Maryland in the early 1970's, I worked on one of these rare birds. I was promised a ride in it by a young Lt. pilot after reenlisting but operational tempo and my departing orders kept it from happening...rats!
I got to know the autopilot system pretty good on the several A7E's we had.
