I HAVE TO AGREE THAT THE ACCOMADATIONS AT THE SHOW WERE BELOW PAR, AND SECURITY WAS A JOKE, BUT AS A MAINTENANCE TECH. FOR THE SUPER HORNET I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WAY THE PEOPLE TREATED US. SPECIAL THANKS TO EAGLE AIR JET SERVICES AND FIREWALL FORWARD FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT EVEN THOUGH WE DIDNT HAVE ALL THE RESOURCES NESSESARY TO PRODUCE A WORLD CLASS SHOW. I BELEIVE THAT NEXT YEAR WE WILL BE MUCH BETTER AND THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMIDATE THE PATRONS A LITTLE BETTER.

I can't wait for the Air-Show in Grand Junction this year. I expect that we won't have the same problems as the Loveland show! What a great time of the season to have a show in Beautiful Grand Junction! - Hey denver fans, you should make this short drive and stay the night - It'll be worth it!

We heard about the horrible traffic jam on Saturday; luckily, we had planned to go the show on Sunday anyway. We left at 6 am, and had absolutely no trouble getting in and getting some front row space. Yes, it was a very hot day and we had trouble finding any COLD water for sale. Nevertheless, the show was incredible. We were thrilled by Fat Albert, the B-2, the F-16's, and every other aircraft that graced the sky that day. We even loved the race between the jet and the race car. The Blue Angels exceeded our wildest expectations. They executed all of their stunts with perfection...the sneak pass was the favorite of my entire family. I will go as often as I can to any venue within a few hundred miles, where the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds are going to perform.

Does anyone realize that this is a site for the Air Show going on in Grand Junction not the debacle that took place in Loveland? Just curious.... We never made it into the air show but instead watched it from a field just south of the airport. The seats were fantastic....I just wish I hadn't pre-purchased the tickets. Hopefully some of it went to support the pilots and their aircraft. If I rated the aircraft and such I'd give 5 stars but the event organization barely deserved one star. Hence a 3.

I am an air show junkie with stops at miramar, oceana, el toro, and fallon to name the bigger shows. I congradulate you for an excellent flying show. The new super hornet demo was a great surprise(especially from the old f14 diamondback squadron). Please please please convince Buckley air base to host your next show!! It would solve most of the problems you had (logisticswise) and would bring in more static display aircraft from the military to the show, which was really the only dissappointment, you really need to give greater incentives for the military guys to fly in for their weekends off. Thanks for the time!

I had an incredible experience at the air show. The drive in was horrible, I admit, but luckily I only had to drive one exit worth of highway stretch. I do agree that there needed to be some changes as far as water, shade, and traffic control goes, but there were numerous positive aspects as well. As a person who has always dreamed of being a military pilot, I was more then happy to wait in a line, and sit in the heat to see my dream in front of my eyes. There were also many informational booths with brochures that aided me in my search for a piloting career. I wish that more people looked at the positive aspects of the show, and less of the negative. Many people were able to see the Blue Angels perform, which some waited many years to do. Prospective pilots had information all around available for their taking. Along with this, many kids began their dream of being a pilot or of serving in the military, just as my dream began at my first air show. I would go through the heat and wait in lines any day in order to experience this again.

Yes, there were long lines, etc., etc. and we didn't come well prepared, but that was lack of fore thought on our part. I loved the show! The Blue Angels were spectacular. Watching Fat Albert rocket off the runway was awesome. And, even though we were waiting in line out side the airport when the B2 did his fly by, I wouldn't have missed it for the world. My grandchildren wanted to know if it was from outer space. How could you have known you would get such hugh crowds. Eveyone did the best they could with what they had available. Thank you for a great show.

If you could stand the blistering heat, the hours stuck in traffic due to poor access,(one way in, one way out) banned coolers (you will buy our water and pop and food)and no shade where you could rest and recuperate, then you saw a good show! Hank H

Excited, we gathered in the car at 7am. As we live 2 hours away and the gates opened at 9a. Everything went smoothly on the drive up to Loveland. I had purchased tickets the Friday before so as to cut down on sitting in lines. What an irony that turned out to be. At about 9:30 we arrived at the traffic jam, Johnson's Corner, approx. where I had envisioned it starting. At about 10a we had made it to the hwy. 34 bypass, approx 3 miles from our final destination. I got off there and made an attempt at the rear entrance past the dog races. After weaving thru the back roads an officer told us the way. We then got caught in another traffice jam, this time for another hour. At the start of the show (10a) we were all very anxious to get to the airport. After about 10 mins more, we were told by the looooong line of traffic that the police had closed the road and we now had to get back on I25 and follow the flow of traffic! We then tried another route; thru windsor and South on I25 where we sat for another hour or so. At 1:45p we all decided to go to Loveland and have a nice lunch, an attempt at salvaging our day. The tickets are unused, as are the cameras. What a fun day in the area of Colorado Air Show 2002.

I realize that there were alot of problems with the airshow that was held at the Loveland Airport this past weekend (July 27-28)... in light of all the problems, I had a great time! Living in Loveland, I got there by 7:30am and had no problem with parking or anything. The line to get in was long, but I expected that. I brought my own water bottles so I was not concerned with getting water. I even bought an extra bottle after going through the gate so I would have it. I brought my own sandwiches so I was not concerned with the long lines for food. It was hot, so I was prepared with lots of sunblock. I sat in reserved seating, so I had a chair no problem. I thought the show was pretty good given the size of the airport.I thought they did a great job. Next time they could improve on the parking aspect a little and maybe have a larger area for the "vendors" and whatnot. They did what they could with what they had. People just have to do a little pre-planning themselves and not expect the world at an airshow. I enjoyed the commentators, all the planes, my bi-plane ride was outstanding, talking with the woman who was flying in the backseat of the F18 was GREAT, standing up and singing the National Anthem as the Golden Knight parachuted to the ground with our Nation's colors was very moving, seeing some of the world's finest military pilots show us what our planes can do made me feel great, and countless other little things made the day totally worthwhile for me! Perhaps the most important one was being able to listen to the incredible sound of freedom screaming from our planes that sends chills through you and makes you so proud to be an American! I will come again and again to any airshow that Loveland/Fort Collins may host again!
