AS A BOY GROWING UP IN THE DAYTON AREA I REMEMBER WHEN IT STARTED AS THE DAYTON AIR FAIR. I SAW THE SNOWBIRDS, THE BRITISH VULCAN BOMBER AND NIMROD PERFORM. THEY ALSO AT TIMES HAD THEIR VC-10 TANKER THERE. CANADIAN CF-101, GERMAN F-104G AND TORNADOS HAVE THRILLED ME TOO. WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE WARBIRDS? AIR SHOWS IN ELMIRA, NY AND EVEN THE FAIRFIELD COUNTY OHIO (LANCASTER) DRAW MORE WARBIRDS. THESE SHOWS ARE MUCH MORE INTIMATE TOO. I DO LOOK FORWARD TO 2003 THOUGH. YOU HOPE THE POWERS THAT BE WILL BE ABLE TO GET THIS ONE RIGHT. VISIT THE AF MUSEUM WEB SITE TO SEE ABOUT MORE 2003 EVENTS.

Always one of the best air shows in the country! Next years show should be the biggest air show ever held in the country.

It was a very good air show but the blue angels are better than the thunderbirds. Planning to attend for the 100th anniversary and if you have any frequencies you know work please email me. i liked this air show

I agree with James Derrickson. I've attended the Dayton Airshow for the last ten years and compared to the show's of the early nineties Dayton is a shadow of it's former self unfortunately. The prices go up consistently each year, but quality is mediocre at best with very little International participation compared to earlier years. At least the organizers have stopped promoting it as the biggest and best Dayton Airshow ever! Let's hope they can get back on track in 2003 for the 100th Anniversary of the Wright Brothers.

Interesting airshow with too many jet demonstrations. Jim Leroy was phenomenal as usual, but the airshow could use more aerobatic and freestyle acts. Overall, interesting airshow!

THIS AIRSHOW HAS BECOME A VERY MEDEIOCRE EVENT ALTHOUGH THE ADMISSION INCREASES EACH YEAR. I DO NOT PLAN TO EVER RETURN.
