Pacific Coast Air museum has acquired a new aircraft to their inventory. It is an F-15A which was rescued from AMARC. This aircraft has a little history considering it was a first responder aircraft on 9/11. The Aircraft serial number is 77-0102 and at the present time it has been disassembled and it is being transported to the museum from AMARC. When the airplane arrives here it will be lovingly reassembled and put on display honoring the history and the people of the Air Force and FAA on the eventful day.

The pacific Coast Air Museum is a excellent museum. They have many aircraft which are not on the list. They have the following: AV-8C Harrier A-4 Skyhawk A-6 Intruder A-26 Invader Blue Angels F-4 Simulator DC-6 Nose F-4 Phantom F-5 Tiger F-8 Crusader F-14 Tomcat F-16 Viper F-84 Thunderstreak F-86 Sabre F-105 Thunderchief F-106 Delta Dart HU-16 Albatross H-34 Choctaw IL-14 Crate RF-8G Crusader Cockpit RF-86 Sabre S-2 Tracker T-28 Trojan T-33 T-Bird T-37 Tweet T-38 Talon UH-1H Huey There is a very nice gift shop with a room full of displays. On the third weekend of every month there is a Open Cockpit of a selected aircraft. Ont the third weekend in August there is a "Wings Over Wine Country" Airshow. Well worth the trip down to the Sonoma County Airport.

Well I first heard about PCAM when I was only 2 weeks old I went to their August Airshow and had a blast. I've gone there ever since then and I enjoy sitting in their A-4 Skyhawk, F-14 Tomcat, RF-8 Crusader nose section, and all the other aircraft that they have on display. They also have a very nice giftshop that always has nice staff to help you out with anything that you might be interested in. Aircraft are always in restoration mode. So if your ever anywhere near Sonoma County stop the Pacific Coast Air Museum and take the kids along to the'll have a blast!

 ,

I visited in May 2003 and found onevolunteer on duty,as it was offically "closed" on Tuesday. He kindly let me amble around to my hearts content. I saw planes from my childhood and never dreamt to see them close up. It was a fitting end to a good holiday before I flew home

My first visit, on Sat. 10/16/04. Watch their website, www.pacificcoastairmuseum.org for "OPEN COCKPIT" Days! Visitors can climb into the cockpit of an aircraft with REAL BATTLE HISTORY. I sat side-by-side with Mark, the "Plane Captain" of the A6E Intruder, which most recently fought in the first Gulf War! Among its many battle victories was destroying 2 enemy gunboats. I was extremely fortunate on this day: Many other cockpits were open to visitors, including the A4E Skyhawk, the F4C Phantom II (I don't think you can stump Tony with any question about the Phantoms!), the "Huey" helicopter (Black Widows) that was in many Viet Nam battles... and each Plane Captain, personally responsible for restoration/upkeep of their particular aircraft, is extremely knowledgable. Lotsa photo opportunities. Many other aircraft are on display, including my favorite, the F14A Tomcat. Beautifully restored, really stands-out among the displays. The gift shop is small, but the 2 ladies volunteering that day were very friendly to everyone. All their sales benefit a/c restoration. I think they could make more sales by having a better selection of PCAM-logo T-Shirts available, along with a 'photo magazine' showing all of their aircraft. The Airport is also home base for a CA Dept of Forestry "Air Attack" base, and they're happy to have visitors, when the fire season is open (will close soon); I saw 2 S-2 Airtankers and the OV "Bronco" that directs them in dropping their fire retardant load on wildland fires. There are many other WWII aircraft (and more) at the adjacent Charles M. Schultz Sonoma County Airport. Drive around -- you might just (as I was so fortunate to do) spot a beautifully-restored P-51 Mustang or B-25 Bomber roaring down the runway, engines making music to the ears! I plan to be up here for their airshow next August... their are great photos on the web. One last word: There are many, many, many things to do up here; Wineries, ocean, mountains, back roads, and on and on). Think I may move up here! Greg Bishop konabish@hotmail.com

I really enjoyed my time at this museum. It was not busy, actually rather peaceful. The planes were very nice, especially the USCG Albatross! What a beautiful old bird. If you're in Northern Cal, don't miss this museum!

A great "growing" Museum by dedicated volunteer members. Well displayed. A great rest stop. View the planes, enjoy the museum, eat your lunch in the shade on the picnic tables. Watch for P.C.A.M. supurb Air Show in August.

This is a small but growing museum. It's obvious that the members have put alot of effort into it. I recommend that anyone interested in military aircraft visit PCAM's Museum.
