The C-47 was assigned to the Minnesota Air Guard with re-organization of the 109th Squadron and organization of the 179th Squadron following WW II. It remained in the 109th inventory until the late 1950s and in the Duluth inventory until the early 1970s. It was a support aircraft, carrying crews and supplies to deployed exercises.
