War Eagles Air Museum |
To demonstrate the sights and sounds of these high-powered machines, most of this magnificent collection is maintained in flying condition. These aircraft provide public enjoyment while in actual flight. The museum features various educational programs, exhibits and special events that help preserve our heritage and promote pride in our country.
As you tour through the spacious 54,000 Sq. ft. display building you will discover the warbirds of the World War II era, and jet fighters used in the Korean Conflict, and later. These include some of the famous fighters such as the P-51 Mustang, the P-38 Lightning, the P-40 Warhawk, F4U-4 Corsair, plus a twin-engine Invader bomber, a DC-3 transport and a German observation aircraft, the Fieseler Storch. Among the jets built in the 1950s, you will find an F-86 Sabre, a T-33 Silver star and Mig-15s. Also, you will enjoy several antique automobiles.
The War Eagles Air Museum is located at the Santa Teresa Airport in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Only 12 miles from downtown El Paso, off of Interstate 10 West at the Mesa exit #11.
